Red face Hi Just a newbie

    Hi
I have a 07 T5 transporter crew cab 4 motion 2.5 6 speed. Purchased about a year ago 200k on it but I knew the owner and he looked after it, amazing how well it drives. However, it spat a slave cylinder and currently up on the hoist gearbox out and I've ordered some bits from Darkside Dev in the UK very happy so far with there service and support and products. I have a larger intercooler, hard intercooler pipe kit, EGR delete and EGR cooler delete. And sort the DPF And a dyno remap once fitted. Happy for any comments or ideas towards this, just looking for basic efficiency and bit more grunt without over stressing her.
look forward to checking out the forums.
    thx

Hi and welcome to the forum. Stage1 tunes work very well and give a nice power increase to already torquey engine. Get the cast iron intake manifold to eliminate one of the engine's week spots.

Hi, I have the 2008 Transporter crewcab, 2.5tdi. What is involved in deleting the EGR and coolant system??Also what is your plan theDPF? These two items seem to account for most of the breakdowns with this model and motor. I would ideally do exactly what you have described, but not familiar with these motors. Is there any manuals showing the parts for removal? I’m in Aus , so not much point asking you about good mechanics. Any ideas on a good maintenance manual for this motor ? Cheers Aussie Mick.
