    Help in NSW

Hi guys, future son in law has broken down in his manual petrol T4 (199 in Jugiong, in between Gundagai and Yass in NSW. He says the flywheel? between the power steering and alternator has gone, and the local mech says it might take a week or two to get the part in. FSIL is not mechanically minded, so is relying on someone that knows what they are doing to get him back on the road.
Anyone have any ideas that can get him back on the road quickly?
    Ta

I wonder if he's talking about the crank pulley.
Understand how it works, troubleshoot logically BEFORE replacing parts.

That does make sense, jets. He did say it was plastic though, and the mech told him it is a five dollar part

Thanks Howard, appreciate your offer. Its all changed now, playing a gig in Sydney tonight and he had all their gear on board. Couple of bands members have driven down and picked him and the gear up. He's going to have the part express posted up and pick the van up when it's fixed. Thought I might check if there was a way of keeping them on the road.
    Thanks
