    Fuse box problems

Hi, can anyone help me, I just bought a -99 T4 2.5 Petrol at the auctions. Surprise, surprise, of course there are no manuals whatsoever, no owners manual, no nothing, fair enough, I believe the vans been well looked after service wise, it's an ex ambulance. My problem now though is that because of this, a lot of wiring has been reallocated to the ambulance "computer" such as indicators and lights, but wanting to get rid of all unnecessary stuff, I would like to make use of the original fuse box, but I have no idea as to which fuse is which. Short of measuring each wire up, which will take a lot of time as there is a lot of fuses for this van, I would find it a lot easier to just look at a sheet. So my question is : Does anybody out there have a fuse "sheet" that you could possibly scan and help me out with?
Thanks in advance, or as they say in these kinds of forums: TIA.

On the original fusebox, the connectors all only fit in one hole.
They only physically fit in one space on the panel.

How have they done the ambulance fusebox? Tapped into the main fusebox, or cut the connectors off?

If its only spliced, you should be able to see how it used to be and put it back as it was. I do this a lot with aftermarket alarms.

Good luck with the book, I`d get one off ebay uk.

    Yo Golf loon

The wiring has been all "tapped", but not at the fusebox. That in itself is not so much of a problem, my problem now is more that there are a few pieces of equipment that are not working after I re-routed and re-terminated the cables, I know that I've made all the right fixes and that part is ok, it's just that since the system is now relying on the original fuse box and some of those fuses have been left out by the "ambulancing" mob, it'd make my life a lot easier if I had the print of fuse locations to be able to locate the correct fuse quicker when and if they blow.

It should also tell you which fuse does what on the back of the undertray / pocket that you remove to get at the fusebox

    Sweet, thanks mate

Thanks a bunch, really needed that info, went around to the commercial VW sales and service today to get an owners "manual", but to no avail, couldn't supply me with one ! Re the undertray, nope, some clever (not) individual have removed the sticker (sheet), that's why I was in a bit of a pickle to start with, also realised today that the relay has been omitted, no tick tick sound when applying hazardlights. man, you have really been a great help !!!! I'll be printing the info on a sticker and glue it into the cover.
    Thank you again!
And Jets, thanks for that link, I do need as much info as I can possibly get. I bought a "service manual" from Componline ? in Sydney the other day but the manual was a bit iffy to say the least.
Thank you guys for your help.
