    front doors leaking water

Both my T5 front doors are leaking water into the door step,
I had aftermarket speakers put in and they seem to be causing the problem (so say VW)
it seems to come out above the rubbers and fill the door wells? especially if on a slope.
    has anyone had this problem??

No leaks here and I've had several pairs of aftermarket speakers installed in the doors.

Are the window seals (horizontal glass wiper seals on door) damaged?
Did you run new speaker cables through the existing door glands? Check to see that the glands are not loose or missing.

If you simply exchanged speakers and used the existing cables I do not see how that would compromise water sealing...

I am sure that the horizontal seals are OK, you can see where the water is leaking where the original speakers are pop riveted to the frame I know the original wires are connected on the outer side of the frame and mine are at the back or inside??

The doors should cope with water entering them anyway, it should just drain out of the drain holes in the bottom.

I can't understand what you've said about the speaker wires, but is it possible the wires are catching water (that would normally run to the bottom of the door) and diverting it out through a grommet so that it comes inside? it might be as simple to fix as pulling a little more cable into the door to allow the water to drip off the wires into the bottom of the door so it can run out as normal.
