Emissions crisis, does it affect the vans?

I would imagine that even though its a problem for VW I don't think it makes one iota to the everyday drive of the cars involved , but if they change the specs it could affect the fuel consumption of affected vehicles . Last one I spotted this over on the general section of the forum , VW tell us if we change the computer tune of our cars then it will void the warranty , talk about the shoe on the other foot .
