Not a crisis? I would have thought a 23% drop in share price is more than a crisis for VW, potential fines in the 10's of billions, not a crisis? So what is a crisis? Or maybe I should have inserted "Financial" in the subject.
As a comparison, Deepwater Horizon oil rig disaster operated by Transocean, BP fined more than $18 billion, maybe more of a disaster than a crisis.
Guess we will have to wait and see what vehicles have the software.
