    Hi Guys,

I put 4 Kumho's KU19 from Tempe Tyres, they were pretty proffessional and the price ($200 each) was not too bad. They did have the continentals at $320 each which i have to say was the best price i have found but they just wear too fast and my better half has a lead foot!
I will give progress on how they wear, so far so good!

    cheers,
    Jaluo

How's the wear rate going Jaluo?

I'm now looking to replace mine (Dunlop SP Sport 01s) at about 25K kms. Not fantastic wear.

(VW quoted me $320 a corner on some Pirellis - but they got the size wrong - 235/45R18 instead of 255/45R18, so that didn't inspire confidence).

Ended up with KU39s from Tempe Tyres just before Christmas. $220 a corner and they threw in a front wheel alignment.

Have just done a bit over 1K kms on them and they seem to be ok in dry and wet, and not noticeably different noise-wise than the Dunlops.

that's a great price. My tyre shop has organised some Hankook for me in 255/45/18, about $300 each, they've included the lugs and hubcentric rings to fit the X5 wheels on as well. Fitting tomorrow!

    Hi Guys,

The Kuhmos are going pretty good just rotated the front to the back as was a bit uneven in the wear rate but they are pretty decent tyre, good in wet and dry, though i suspect will wear faster than the continentals. Still i am happy with them at that price!

Just updating. I got 30K kms out of the fronts of the KU39, and still had a fair bit on the rears - laziness on my part as I hadn't rotated them.

I had one of the fronts blow out recently. Replaced them with another set of KU39s. Overall pretty satisfied with them given the vehicle/size constraints.
