    IVO,
I have sent somebody I know a link to this thread.
We wait with baited breath to see what he knows on this subject.
If I remember correctly he did something like this for a member on here..

Very cryptic I know but dont want to drop him in the poo.

Lots of guys have done it in the UK, plenty of pics and stories on the UK forums with very positive results.

Anyone know of a DPF that has be removed under warranty? It would be great to get my hands on a dead one, knock the guts out and install it and see what happens.

How does it know when to regenerate? Is it based on pressure drop on the outlet side or increase pressure on the inlet side or is it a change in pressure between the two? Or is it something completely different.

Had a read through the DPF article. From what I can make out, the pressure difference is what triggers the need for regeneration. The temp sensors are used to determine how much extra fuel is required to get them the DPF up to regeneration temps. So....if the filter element is knocked out and the pressure is equal before and after there should be no need to regenerate??

Anyone else read it? Whats your interpretation?

Have a look at this video on youtube. Very cheap and easy fix. No need to reprogram the ECU either
