Dietrich, the Green T4's new tyres.

Just ordered 4 215/70X15 new tyres for Dietrich, the Green T4.

    Hankook $152
    Khumo $160
    Continental $236

Will do Khumo for $152, so that's the one. 2 will be fitted Friday, 2 wheels removed, tyres removed, then they will be sand blasted & powder coated & new tyres fitted.

Just in time for our November holiday.

    Nice!

Hard to say you would need to lower it as you don't see the difference between tyre, gap and rim!

How much for the sandblast/coating per rim?

Sand blasting is $15 ea, and powder coating $30 incl the small centre cap.

Dietrich was lowered once, but it is not practical.

We intend to do the trip that Bob Jennings took in the "Volkswagen Magazine" Summer/Autumn 2007. From Adelaide to Oodnadatta via Melrose, Hawker, Wilpeana Pound, Blinman, Parachilna, Lyndhurst, Maree, William Creek, Oodnadatta then Coober Pedy.

I just need the side bars (between the front & rear wheel arches) to keep the stones off the body.

I like the look of the wheels!
One question i do have is....
HOW MUCH POLISH A WEEK DO YOU USE?
Thats one hell of a shiny bus!
You must not have much rain out there because you could never get it that clean in the UK ok for about 10 mins)

    Hope you got them laquerd?
Had some done myself once and when i cleaned them the shine dissapeared!
And had to have them done again and then laquard.

I actually haven't waxed/polished it in almost 2 years when I used the clay bar then waxed.

I have been trying to get around to it for the last 6 months. I think I'm too lazy!

The wheels are not laquered. The Golf CL wheel were done exactly the same a couple of months ago, and are still glossy.
