Cruise Control not working. T5 2007 Auto

    Hello,..
I have a factory fitted cruise contol, that turns on, but then turns off when it needs to do some more work, like go up a slight incline, or it seems after 5min.
Do i go to the mechanic or a autoelectrician,..?
    Cheers
    E

    Mechanic, of course

I reckon it'll be the brake light switch.

Is it a DIY job to change the stalk

Pretty sure all lights are working. The cruise hasn't worked for years as I got quoted over $500 to fix it from VW.

If its manual it could be the clutch switch also and quite common. The last 3 cruise issues i had were clutch switch. If you disconnect it and bridge the 2 pins on the plug...if it then works its the clutch switch at fault
