    Cooker LPG bottle under van

Just thinking about how to have LPG to my cooker without cutting a hole in the side of my camper. Considering if a small bottle will mount underneath the van. Propex fit them like that in the UK.
I've checked the installation rules here and so long as it is secure and can not be accessed from inside the van it seems to comply. The only snag may be that even a small bottle won't fit upright under the van, can LPG bottles lay horizontal??
    Thoughts?

Not really You are supposed to carry and use 9kg bottles upright so as the gas comes out the valve and not liquid, because if it does you will need very fast running shoes and asbestos skin

From the ELGAS site Operating Your BBQ Gas Bottle

Always read the BBQ manufacturer’s operating instructions.

Keep the gas bottle upright and on a stable base.

Forklifts use horizontal bottles but they are differnt and defined by a blue painted area at the top of the bottle

Whilst more expensive these are pretty good kit for a camper as shown it use fuel from the vans own tank which saves on adding a gas bottle and refilling , I use the Webasto Sunroofs and they have large range of options in cookers as well you can ring them at Webasto Products Australia at Kirrawee in Sydney 02 85364800 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AejatYmUAK4
