Golf has a smaller PCD than the Multivan.
You need something with a stud pattern of 5x120. Amarok and BMW X5 wheels are common on them. Some people use Commodore wheels, but I don't believe they are adequately load-rated.
Hoping someone can advise me whether vw golf (18" alloys) will fit on a 2012 multivan. Both have a 5 stud pattern.
I am also interested in what aftermarket wheels people have used on multivans, I'm wanting 18" and black
TIA

On my work T5 I have a set of factory alloys but they were off a Holden Crewman 1 tonner with a V8 engine so no worries on the load rating side there . Our new T5 has Koya wheels and they are load rated by the manufacturers to match VW specs .Search Results | Koya Wheels
i always see the 18 inch amarok black rims up for sale on gumtree, they are load rated and the ET isn't that much different to the Transporter/mulitvan.

Comforser CF300 is available in 215/65R16C. (same meaning as LT, and has a 107R load rating)
I don't have much experience with highway tyres but since you are going off blacktop.
I was in a Mitsubishi 4wd FB group, all good stories about its muddies (CF3000). even youtube reviews in the US.
Just fitted these tires to my T6 4motion and the trip from Sydney to Goulburn was comfortable and they seem to be good tire option.
Are the amarok wheels a straight bolt on?

Yep, same bolts etc.
Just need to ensure you're using the right sized tyres on them.
