FiXeD! Removed underside of dash again. Carefully checked each connector. The big white one below to right of steering column had come loose. It must feed: All is working again, however, the glow plug light is still flashing now.
Hi, new here, after reading many posts. Yesterday I decided to do some electrical work on my 2010 VW T5 basic commercial van. Now have problems!
In preparation for installing an upgraded aftermarket head unit and amplifier I ran wiring (RCA / power etc) from behind the dash to under the passenger seat - this is all unconnected. I also removed a VW bluetooth touch phone kit that did not play music, and was in the way rattling about. This was behind the head unit and plugged into some of the wiring with the radio.
After poking about, and removing the VW touch phone kit several electrical problems have suddenly appeared! Here is a list:
Central locking, including drivers door switch and remote not working.
Passenger window not working from drivers door window switch, otherwise windows ok.
Indicator / hazard lights not turning on.
Tail / brake lights not turning on. Reverse light is ok.
Rear interior light not turning on - Front cab light is ok.
Dash speedometer illumination not working, other panel lights ok.
This is quite a list, all stopped together. And the glow plug light is flashing indicating possible ECU problem. Otherwise the engine starts very well, drives great, no problem. Therefor, I suspect the ECU is not dead. Possible fuse blown, cable multi connector loose behind dash or under seat? Or does the ECU or some other unit need to be looked at? The only thing that might affect all these together might be some kind of remote central locking control unit, possibly. Anyone have any ideas? Help

Try and disconnect the battery and leave off for a few minutes it may clear itself then , probably the Can Bus had a flutter when the plug was loose and its now throwing a tantrum .
