Can settings be activated that are not present on current T5

Hi all I met a guy today with a update 2010 T5 LWB first off I was amazed that he did not know about how his DSG worked he had not read his book and no one at the dealers explained how it worked and could be used . Next his van did not appear to have daylight running lights activated along with auto open and close windows from remote key fob or the tailgate for that matter , my question would his van have those functions and could they be activated through VCDS ? I will let him know if its possible .

2010 models did not have the DRL's activated. That started with the 2011 models. If he comes to my place, I'll plug in VCDS and see if it can be done.
Not sure about the other things.

No DRLs on the early Australian-spec ones. Globes were there, but not the wiring.
