Black is it hot or not ? .

I replied to a subject in the Photo section which may get removed so I thought I would start an new thread here . A photo showing the T5 special edition or whatever shows the van with a matt black roof , my opinion was that the black roof would be murderous to keep clean along with the heat absorption . As was quoted by another reader black is the "IN" colour at the moment , all I can say is you would have to be very rich and pay someone to keep it looking good or have way too much time on your hands to spend on keeping it looking its best . It has been well documented that black is not an actual colour anyway , its the worst non colour you could have as it will only look its best the day it leaves the dealer or after a repaint at huge cost . Take a look at any black car and you will find flaws swirls scratches and stains that stand out as opposed to lighter colours . If you talk to any car detailers they will tell you that the black cars take a hell of a lot longer to detail as as fast as they prepare it something else will show up . Now I am man enough to accept any replies on this subject but the facts are well known . Howard

It's a colour I would never buy myself, but I have no problems with others buying them

1. Jealous people love to kill someones Joyous moment. Maybe because you can't afford the $75K for the Edition 25 and are too ignorant to even know of its existence. I just bought this car and I'm very happy. So don't try to bring me down just because you can't afford one.
2. What a ****!! Black isn't a colour?? Stupid thing to say. Why are cars is sold in Black?? Why can I buy black paint at the Hardware shop or a black T-Shirt?? One of us aren't living in the real world and its not me. You better pinch yourself and end your dream...
3. I have an 18 month old Black (yes, black, even though Black doesn't exist??) Ford XR50. I hadn't washed it for nearly 6 months and recently gave it a bath and it came up great!!
4. Why do you think Limos, hire cars and hearses are black? Because they dont exist?? NO, because they look good!!
5. You should check your facts before you show your ignorance.
6. Don't show your jealousy, It makes you look even more ignorant!!
7. Look at some of these fine, supposedly, non existing coloured cars. Some of you may not see them with your ignorance glasses on

I just get a little angry at ignorant people who have no idea what they are saying and trying to makeup sh*t or lies that don't make sense and make themselves appear more ignorant...
I didn't like the "special edition or whatever" dig, the stupidity of trying to justify black as a non colour??? and that it is the "worst non colour". I guess I took them as a personal dig at my new vehicle.
Its a shame that some people can't just be happy for others and that they have to try and knock others down to make themselves feel good. that's miserable.
I'm more the type of person that would just be happy about someones choice even if its not my style. Each to their own...

I did feel he was telling you your new baby is 'a problem', which is the last thing you want to be telling any proud parents

But that's Sunny, he has a way of looking at things that I don't always agree with

But any forum would be downright boring if we all agreed!

Some of you may not see them with your ignorance glasses on

And just a suggestion, if one person has a crack at you, don't assume everyone is aiming at you
While we don't all know each other, we do have a commonality, we love our Volkwagen vans!!!
