Bessy, My trusty T4 has a new role :)

My trusty old T4 has pretty much never let me down, ive fitted a clutch, tiiming belt and wheel bearings since i bought her and thats pretty much it, wear and tear. As most know this van was my mobile rig for 4 yrs till i got established in a shop, well re my thread in sponsor section im wrapping up and have been thinking what happens the trusty T4. There was no way i would get rid of this unless it got totalled of course. Happy to say the ole girl isgoing to be my Camper van its so reliable and wont need too much to make it one. I have tons of bits camper wise
Watch this space, it might be slow as i have a couple of projects on the go but to be honest taking may family away for a cool weekend in the van will come first.

As I have seen Jims van I can honestly say it will probably ride a few inches higher once he removes the half ton of tools from the back !! And probably go a lot faster as well .

Lol yep , its been nice and crisp even with the gear. My T4 is 2.5 Petrol with AET, 5 speed, used as a Mobile unit for 4 years and has been my daily workhorse with tools for the last year carrying my gear and parts oil etc Will this year be emptied. I have an OEM bench set that folds up with belts so far. Ill be gutting the rear of course, lifting the rubber matting as its been well used. Its not going to need an awful lot to convert it really. Looking forward to it when i get the time

Yes the good old 2.5 petrol my sons T4 2.5 pulls so well in stock form , makes my T5 2.0 seem like a slug and his is 15 years old !! .

Workhorse. Really has been. Ive had the chance for second hand engines and have turned away, knowing there is lots of life yet, ill also add it has 350k on the clock. And i lost most of my points in it!!! ive rode a GSXR750 for a couple of years too and never once stopped on it LOL

VW faster than a bike must be a bigger target for the boys in blue or the cameras . If you need any stuff for the back of your van I can help make it quieter if needed Jim sound proofing - carpet etc.
