B pillar wires t5?
Does anyone know what the wires running up the passenger side b pillar are for? Its a 2005 transporter. It is used for car audio competitions so unless they power tail lights, blinkers or something vital i would like to get them out of my way. I will get some pics tomorrow in the light. Cheers guys

Any wires running anywhere in your van are being used for several things , the wires up the pillars on the passengers side will most likely be for tail lights / brake /reverse / indicators and roof interior lights / central locking possibly also for rear brake pad sensors the list goes on and on take your pick . Someone may have a diagram to help but as an minor audiophile myself what would you need that space for ? there is more than enough room for just about any extra wiring you may need unless you are going to run the amp main wiring up there as well . Personally I would rather run amp power wires the shortest most direct route from the engine bay to the rear if that's where your amps are going to be . In ours I have amps under each of the front seats out of sight and then some other audio components there as well . I ran our amp wires through the firewall and then under the front mats right along each side the small raised centre bit so as to not put a lump in the flat area . Any wiring needing to be run to the rear could be run along the inner section from behind the front seats to the rear between the outer side skin and the side internal trims 100mm wide space in there . Have you seen the sticky thread in the main menu it was one I did for a friend Insulating T5 "Another wet weekend and someone is getting a makeover" . This one is my wifes van New T5 Project not as intense as my work van which is way more complex but unfortunately no photos as it is kitted out for work so the two 12 inch subs are behind my compressor and speakers in dash and doors cant be seen anyway .

Thanks for the reply, I thought that may be the case but was hoping they were just for interior stuff that I don't really need or care about. Basically its not so much the space I need, they are just kinda in my way. I can work around it but would have liked them not to be there. I am sealing up the b-pillar directly to the sub box. I will post some pics to explain it better when I get home tonight
