Anyone know which model stereo is in a 2006 Multivan?

Well, we've finally got ourselves a Multivan. First VW we've owned.

Thing is, it's 3,500 km away, so next week we're heading East to pick it up and drive it back. I'd like to be able to plug in an iPod for the trip back, but I understand these don't have any iPod connectivity as standard. Given I don't have the option of replacing the stereo, how else can I do this? It's a 2006 Comfortline TDI with a 6-stack CD player. I've had a look on my internet, and there seems to be cables available that plug into the back of the unit, but they're different for each unit. Does anyone know which model stereo the van would have?

I have a picture I can post, if someone can tell me how
Unfortunately it's not clear enough to read the model number. I can make out "6 disc auto changer" at the top, and the VW logo and name below the display. There's some other text but I can't read it.

There is no ipod connectivity on my 2006 comfortline TDI Multivan. That said it seems there are several models of radio available and there may be on the one you have. My stereo does not have an input option but it will play mp3 on the CD changer so that increases the number of tracks available. No SD card input either.

I know you can tune some ipods to listen to FM radio however is there a device which can attach to your ipod and then tune into it with your radio....? I've only got a stock VW radio with mp3 playback however I do have almost 160 tracks on one CD so maybe you can burn 6 cd's which will give you some help.

Edit: Maybe something along this but sourced locally: http://www.ipodcarkitdirect.co.uk/iP...k_FM_Modulator

Please note some might convert to a dab signal which is digital radio so you would need a converter to FM analogue. The link above says "dab like" so I think it's still analogue and on further reading I think you hardwire into the radio antenna input.

I bought a thing from Belkin. There seems to be a few in the range now:

I foound a bit of interference and poor sound quality on the one I boughts.
There are others out there that may be better.

Thanks for the suggestions. I think I'll take a punt on one of the FM tuner things that shogun2 has suggested. Hopefully with better results.

The plan is to update the stereo sometime after Christmas, perhaps getting something good in the after-Christmas sales.
