Just scored a set of 18" Amarok rims with 255/55 r18 Bridgestone Dueller HP. Are these going to cause any known issues on a 2012 T5 LWB Transporter?
Hi Fransnz................curious..........can you please help me out.............
You went from the stock factory 16's to 255/60/R18's which would have increased the diameter by 63mm.............accordingly your revs would have dropped for the same speed so what was the affect on your cruise control when you came to a hill?
Thanks

Go back to the very first post and see the result .
Thanks, read through the thread but can’t find anything that mentions the tyre placard on the van which suggests 18” rims should be 255/45. The couple of comments about scrubbing and circumference are noted (I think mine are clear of the wheel arch linings) but I was thinking more about performance concerns.

While they do look pretty good on, the offset is wrong by about 10mm i think. Can't recall the exact figures for offset for the Amaroks vs the T5/T6 but have found the correct offset gives a better feel cornering & braking.

The set I have bought are 8Jx18 H2 ET53 … sizemywheels.com indicate the standard T5 wheels are 7Jx17 ET55 and suggest replacement wheel that seems to be the exact spec I have bought or with ET50.
