Alternator Rebuild on Transporter T4

Hi there,

I have this T4 93' model AAC engine with a worn out stator inside the alternator, I am in Melbourne Australia and would like to know what are my chances to find a new one.

The VIN is WV2ZZZ70ZRH055859

I would like to find a new stator, the alternator will cost me close to $1000 otherwise

I would imagine there are some at wreckers for a reasonable price . I just looked on Ebay and found some brand new ones for less than $200 . admits here freight will be around $100 US approx. or some from Europe vw transporter t4 alternator | eBay

VW Heritage have some Hella branded 65 amp alternators that should suit your engine for around 120 quid plus delivery. So let's say around $300 for good measure.

hummm nothing for AAC in there...

It's probably the same as a MK3 Golf alternator, of which there'll be plenty around.
