6 speed auto behaviour

Has been on my mind the box might not be 100%, but I've got a back up plan if it does bite the dust,

Got a big mouth, haven't I!

Auto went couple of days just before Xmas

Picked it up last Thursday, and Geoff at A&B Automotive said definately change the oil at least once yearly

I'll make sure it doesn't miss out, every year.

I couldn't agree more with him. A lifetime oil fill, what a joke.

I changed oil in my manual box at 20,000km and done the diff and the bevel box as well. Another fluid to be careful with is the engine coolant - it is not a lifetime fill, I changed it after 5 years and will be changing it every 2 years.

At least if A@B have done it it will be fine now, for sure.
I know a few other bloke that have had trouble with these autos Usually start about 150k or earlier if you work them harder

Do you mind me asking which dealer, pm if you think it best. In my case the service staff said it was better to service the auto (in their personal opinion) even though it was not a factory stipulated requirement.

They seem to be on the ball down there, but we'll see how things go

As long as I get three more years out of this auto (another 150,000 or so ks) then I'll be onto a DSG van
