Cheers Sunny, now you say that, I went there last time on your recommendation I think. Will drop in and see him and see what he can advise.

Ever since about 20k, it's really chewed up the outside edge of my front tyres. I took it to the local tyre shop and showed them the issue. They did an alignment, balance and rotation yet my front tyres (previously my rear tyres) outside edge had been chewed up again. My rear tyres (previously front tyres) are in virtually the same condition as when they got rotated there. Is this your issue?

Can anyone recommend a tyre supplier in the Slack Creek (Qld) area?

I'm due for a 60k service soon. Has anyone had any experience in having this issue sorted with VW as a warranty issue?
Thanks - yes 2014 multi (T5) - I got 4 new tyres and the front two have probably lasted 30,000 kms - they are well unroadworthy now though! One mob has recommended bridgestone, another from the same chain of shops said no way, Hankook is better, and then my local place recommended Michelin. Eh - just want a low noise, round town tyre.

Yeah I've been to a few today as well.

One guy recommended Federation (I think that was the name). I asked about the scrubbing of the outside edge... "It's just roundabouts, absolutely nothing we can do to stop it".

    Hmmm... is that true?

Hi all, I purchased Toyo H19 106T tyres today from Edgars Tyrepower Nottinghill, VIC for $198 each balanced and fitted. I had a good run out of the Toyo H08s of about 75,000Kms. The new tyres seem very quiet and comfortable so far. Regards, Scott.

    With regards to the placard of the T6 Multivan - 215/65 R16C 106/104 T (102 H) :

I've looked up tyre load and speed ratings, however I don't understand 106/104 - why the / ?
(102 H) - does this also mean I can run 102H rated tyres? the load rating correlates to the GVM in the manual.

It means you can run either 104 or 106 load rated tyres if the speed rating for those tyres is T (max. speed 190 km/h). However, if you can find H (max. speed 210 km/h) rated tyres with a load rating of 102 or higher then these also are OK.

Needing a new set of 215/65/16 tyres.
Currently running Continental ContivanContact 100 tyres with 75k on them.

    Considering:
    Pirelli Carrier - $210
    Hankook Vantra - $210

They're are other more expensive options, but willing to consider these based on your recommendations.

    Thanks in advance!

I have a pair of Falken Linam VAN01 215/65/R16C on rear, that seem to going ok after about a year so far.
I priced another pair for the front recently for $240 each.

I have also used MAXXIS VANPROs but have had some treads lift after 90,000.

I have had Pirelli Carrier fitted a couple of weeks ago. Seem ok so far. Quiet with good grip in the wet. The Toyos were getting low and slippery in the wet. $300 each fitted (Tyre Power). Prices have risen.
