Hi all, I haven't posted for a while. I thought I would update you as the starter of this thread I have been very pleased with the Toyo load rated tires. Very quiet and I have done about 60k on them. Probably could get another 8k to 10k at this stage. Starting to loose a bit of front wheel drive traction in wet take off situations on a hill. Best, Scott

Sadly the H08 pattern has now been discontinued. New Toyo is H19 and its not as deep or as open. But probably more efficient.

The Hankook Vantra RA18 were rubbish. I got two years and less than 50,000 km out of them. Plus they were the worst dirt road tyres so far. Just started in on some Bridgestone Dueler 697 or 679 AT tyres...and they are quieter and with a better load roading.

Cheers Seano. I will take a look at the Bridgestones next tire change. Yes shame about the H08. Hopefully the H19 could also be a viable option.
    Thanks, Scott

The H08 appears to be still available on a few on line tyre websites and Tyre Power franchises. Scott

The three locals I spoke too checked and found it was unavailable to order in my size and said it was being discontinued. I had the same issue with the Michelin Latitude Cross. Listed but no longer available.

The Bridgestone's have been good thus far. Not noisy, similar fuel economy, better handling. And they aren't as heavy as I thought they might be (had to replace front upper shock bushes).

Thanks for the update Seano. I aim to check out the tyre options in the coming weeks. I may even consider Coopers as I would not mind winning a Mustang! Cheers, Scott

    Hope right thread...

Need two new front tyres. I've been quoted $260 for the 215/65 R16C michelin. Fitted and balanced. Two questions - is that a low noise tyre, and do I need the 'C' type tyres - I drive it mostly private, low kms unloaded.

    many thanks !!

Hi Sarajevo. What sort of van do you have? I have a 2016 T6 SWB. I'm at about 55k and just signed in now to search for tyre suppliers as recommended by the good folk here.

Ever since about 20k, it's really chewed up the outside edge of my front tyres. I took it to the local tyre shop and showed them the issue. They did an alignment, balance and rotation yet my front tyres (previously my rear tyres) outside edge had been chewed up again. My rear tyres (previously front tyres) are in virtually the same condition as when they got rotated there. Is this your issue?

Can anyone recommend a tyre supplier in the Slack Creek (Qld) area?

I'm due for a 60k service soon. Has anyone had any experience in having this issue sorted with VW as a warranty issue?
