2103 T5 Multivan air co dramas

We have a 2103 T5 Multivan with an ongoing air co problem. So far we have replaced the compressor, air blower motor, resistor and control panel. The air co work for ten minutes, just long enough to get it full of gas. Then it stopped and we can't get it to work again. Scan tool came up with a few error codes. 1 fresh air fan malfunction. 2 gateway system, control module not programmed.

We have checked all the sensors, fuses and relays. Everything seems to be right. All work done by experienced air co/ auto electrician.

Any ideas on what it could be?

    Cheers
    Peter

Do you have the part number for the control panel, I know when they are replaced in the Passat they need a basic setting \ compressor run in cycle, before working correctly, which might be the cause of the "control module not programmed." code.

When the unit stops, does the clutch disengage or the compressor unload valve shut off, internal fan keeps running?

I would follow the tips here and try and rule each part out.

The control panel is part no# 7E5 907 040 AF. I will ask the installer about the questions.

    Thanks for your reply

I am not sure what it did when it shut down. Only happened once. They were filling it with gas when it did stop.

The blower fan keeps on blowing as normal.

Do you know what the run in cycle is?

So it was working, then stopped as they were filling the gas?

Find someone with a VCDS cable to scan the controller and check the coding and measuring blocks.

Here is a sample of what the coding should look like,

    Address 08: Auto HVAC (J255) Labels:| 7E5-907-040.clb
    Part No SW: 7E0 907 040 AK HW: 7E0 907 040 AK
    Component: ClimatronicT5 H04 0614
    Revision: 00001K04
    Coding: 0000000003

    ROD: EV_ClimaAutoT5Basis.rod
    VCID: 6C803BB3560549FB43B-8038

The basic settings that I described are similar to the guide here

They had filled it with gas. They let it run for a bit and when they checked it wasn’t blowing cold air anymore. It has never blown cold air again.
