20's or 22's For Multivan

Hi, Just purchased a new multivan and wondering if anyone has any of these on there vans also some pics if possible.

just a tip too, i have found that big wheels on these really wear bad and quick and tyre arnt cheap obviously

try looking on www.vwt4forum.co.uk there is a tab at the top of the page that says " T5 " . click on that & then scroll to the bottom of that page & it says " vw t5 pictures & videos" then you can see all the different colours etc.
have a look through as there are loads on there.
20s for me though i think with 275/35/20 as these would be the closest to the correct diameter

So what people are saying is that you can fit any commordore rim but you have to put a spiggot ring to make the centre back to 65mm, is this true.

Commodore rims will fit but don't have the load rating. BMW X5 rims also fit with a few minor mods.

22's for sure.... I love the ride of mine with 22's on it... looks awesome.... soooooooo huge!!!

It does lift the Van higher though... which I love!!!

i have 20's on mine and have dropped it 70mm. looks good, u get a bit of unintended negative camber on the rear because of the IRS as there is no camber kits for these that I know of. Tyre wear will depend on km's, type of driving, amount of weight u carry, wheel balance and wheel alignment. Just because they are bigger doesn't necessarily mean they will wear quicker. In saying that I have heard of the stock michelins lasting till about 65K whereas I am getting approx 50k out of my 255/45/20. I didn't go 22's because the price of tyres jumped dramatically and i use the van for deliveries and pick ups so its too uneconomical. I got told that 22's will reduce your steering lock by about 5%. oh and whatever rims u choose, they need to be +45 offset so they sit within the guards.
