Hi there
My Toyo tyres are done. 18 months and less than 15000km.
Not a new vehicle.
Can anyone help with a recommendation for a longer lasting tyre for this vehicle?
Kendall

A couple of options. Note Jax has a "buy 4 and only pay for 3" deal on at the moment with Hankook. And both Michelin and Continental have a $100 cashback deal on if you buy 4.
Dunlop 235/55R17 Tyres from $263 | JAX Tyres & Auto 1300 367 897
Hankook 235/55R17 Tyres from $336 | JAX Tyres & Auto 1300 367 897
Continental 235/55R17 Tyres from $281 | JAX Tyres & Auto 1300 367 897
Michelin 235/55R17 Tyres from $296 | JAX Tyres & Auto 1300 367 897
I can attest to Primacy's lasting well and being bloody decent for the price. Probably what I'd choose for my van once the tyres on there die.

This is an absolute fallacy. Yeah they chew through tyre but it’s because the front lower control arm bushes flog out and there’s no castor adjustment in them.
Replace with aftermarket castor offset bushes from SuperPro and get a proper wheel alignment and your tyres will last a lot longer and the van will steer much, much better.

My last set of Toyo Open Country All Terrains gave me 70,000+ kms.
Always a good idea to see whether some aftermarket bushes are available to fix alignment geometry - great point. On sale for $80 here

Hi Kendall,
I am on my second set of Toyos and have found them to be long lasting and very quiet and good grip. If yours have lasted only 15k, could it be as a result of wheel alignment or incorrect tyre inflation levels?
Cheers,
Scott

This is absolute physics: a heavy front-wheel-drive car will put a lot of demand on front wheel tyres. The kit, you mentioned, might help when there is uneven wear, but it will do nothing to alter the basic physics. If your front tyre are no wearing fast, then maybe you are accelerating very gently.
An absolute fallacy is if you deny a certain factory behaviour exists, just because there might be an aftermarket fix.
