2011 T5 Multivan egr cooler replacement

    Hi all, any advice please?
I've just had a diagnosis of a faulty egr cooler and it needs replacing. Approx $4200 installed from VW. Does this sound (I want to say reasonable) correct? Has anyone else had this issue?

    cheers

I don' know too much about the egr system other than it's to do with returning the exhaust back into the turbo..doesn't it?

It returns exhaust gasses back into the intake manifold.

On the Bi-Turbo motors, the front of the vehicle needs to be placed into the service position, to remove the EGR assembly. It's a quite time-consuming job to do.

You need to find someone who is willing to re-flash the ECU to cancel out what is an emissions component.
