    2011 multivan transmission fluid

I'm looking at changing my transmission fluid on my multivan. Just got a couple of questions... The van is a 103kw comfortline 7sp DSG...

How do you get all the fluid out of the trans?
What is an equivalent transmission oil?

I honestly can't remember looking through the service history if the trans fluid has been changed... But regardless, I want to change it for piece of mind... The van is coming up for it's 180K service and not sure whether it's done as part of the service or not...

Please forgive my ignorance if this has been brought up before.

    Thanks in advance,

    Mick

You need to look up what's involved in a DSG service. These take the regular DSG oil. Make sure you replace the filter as well.

There is a 14mm allen key drain plug on the bottom of the gearbox, remove that and also the 8mm black allen key overflow tube in there too, you also need to drain the mechatronics - there is a seperate smaller drain plug on the side of the gearbox next to the mechatronics, have a look you will find it, these take 5.5L!!
