    2010 Transporter - Automatic Windows intermittent ?

    Hey all

Just recently i've noticed my automatic windows playing up in my 2010 Transporter.
Occasionally ill jump in and turn it on and the automatic windows wont operate on their own, instead i'll have to manually hold down the button (Clicked in all the way) both up and down, and on both window sides.
Then i'll jump in again another day and it will work normally.
Any ideas why this could be or has anyone experienced this before?
    Cheers
    Mike

I wonder if it could be a sign of imminent battery failure or possible a bad connection which is cutting power that would normally keep the memory alive .

Is there anything else in the car that is losing memory, such as the trip meter?

I have one button like that................it was intermittent but now I have to hold it.
The others are OK so I think it's on its way out.
    Feels a bit wobbly too.

Close the window that is playing up fully. Release the button and then press to close again. You should hear a click from the window motor Mech. This will reset the auto functionality

No sign of trip meter playing up or anything like that - as I also thought potential battery failure .
Will have a go of the reset method Elias mentioned and see if it stops happening

Since posting haven’t hopped in the car and had the same issue! So the reset is on standby if it happens again
    Cheers!

Just had the regular service and the original battery was running very low - had to be replaced and I’m sure this was the issue

Sounds like my reply might have been the answer , I know we get people through my business with sunroofs in their cars which do the same . The sunroofs have an ability to hold memory but if the battery drops below a certain threshold it will drop memory and has to be reset . The car will still start but it wont hold peak power any longer and then memories will be lost , hope it is the answer to the problem .
