    2010+ T5.2 battery life span

I just had my factory battery die on me. Last few days it's been sluggish to start and last night in the pouring rain it gave up its will to live.

Just wondering what you are all replacing them with and what it cost.
I used my Vw care to get the Allianz guys out and they dropped in a new own brand battery for $245 including disposal if the old one.

The biggest meanest ugliest hi amp sod you can fit in there , I always replace any of our batteries in our 3 vans with big ones as it reduces any chance of failure right up until its death . I will add that we run big stereos in all of them which will place a high drain on the battery during usage .

Yes, the space is there to fit a bigger battery. I had in my T5 DIN100 from the Touareg.
Or you can get Bosch S6 (AGM) battery of the same size as the original battery for around $350 to satisfy your big stereos.

The max dimensions that will fit (mm): 353x175x195 , any longer than that you could really struggle to get it in the place.

Can confirm, I just fitted a VARTA H3 flooded cell battery which is DIN88H size measuring ~350x175x195mm (DIN88 High aka. DIN100? because of it's 100Ah capacity). This is in a 2011 T5.2 Multivan.

    Try Battery World.

The Bosch batteries are also good.

My battery is dying, went away for a week and then have had a flat battery. I left it on trickle charge overnight so I could start it, but it won't hold full charge. Battery is almost 5 years old.
I am going to get a new battery tomorrow and would prefer Bosch due to the brand, I notice on the battery world website they don't stock them.
Were would I get a Bosch one?

If your spending that sort of coin on a battery have a look at the Optima d31m, great battery, robust and charges very fast. EBay sellers are the cheapest.
