there is a check, to feel/listen for shuddering/noise reversing up a slope, i think.
Someone with a manual T5 care to add the correct procedure?
Yes my old 2005 T5 is a 4 pot manual petrol , I replaced the clutch kit around 6 years ago but did not know about the Dual Mass Flywheel so it was left undone . Now the DMF had been buggered since around the two year old mark , I did the clutch around 5 years later and the DMF is still in there shudders like hell reversing up slopes . I have learnt never to drive into a place that i might have to reverse out of so I back in instead .

    Thanks everyone for your help.
The dmf i’ve heard is expensive but it’s a wear and tear thing i guess and apparently problems or fast wearing brakes are quite common

You should get 40,000km out of the brakes.
