Cam shafts often break as well as pistons
Hi all. Need a little help. My engine has a sump full of coolant and coolant on top of the Pistons. Once I got everything apart I found the water pump was sizied which stripped all the teeth off the timing belt. Bottom end looks fine after a clean up but who knows? The head is going away for the usual work but what else should I be looking for before I put this thing back together? Any help appreciated.

never heard of piston problems.
So here is the story. Head came off and was hardness tested and found to be soft. Tracked down a new reco head on a second hand block with new timing belt and water pump. So out came the lot and in with the new, with the addition of a new clutch and the usual service items and she is running again. But she seems to be idling high. I may have not fitting a vacumn pipe correctly and haven't yer timed it yet. Any idea and how can I time myself?
