    BMW wheels fit fine!
Just watch the width on the rear due to the sliding door rubbing between inside plastic panel and tyre side wall.
    Like the picture looking smart.
What lowering kit have you been looking at?

Ohh that looks so nice. Love how the colour changes depending on how the light hits it. I'm so glad we ordered this colour and didn't give in and get the Reflex Silver that was available but didn't have any of the options I wanted.
I like the lowered look, I'll be lowing mine 30mm when I get it. What springs do people use?

I havent even got to springs yet, I'm still trying to source some good wheels and tyres, but dont want to rush into the wrong thing.

This link is a good source of info for lowered springs and wheels, check it out. I will stay tuned if anyone else has some good inof on suspension and springs.

Here is one old thread about the aftermarket wheels. http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/f136...els-22970.html
I didn't re-read it, so please ignore me if it is not about 18" wheels.

I have a KW coil over kit stuck in customs as I type that I ordered in early May from the UK, it appears that KW now only build the kit once an order is placed, hopefully I have it by the end of the week & fit it on the weekend.

I was talking to a guy yesterday with a T5 Transporter with 22's fitted! He got them secondhand off a jeep and was not exactly sure of the width but they looked like 8's. Tyres were 265/30/ZR. He said they did not rub anywhere but....they were terrible. Looked great but a very harsh ride and if you hit a big pothole etc the wheels would need to be straightened and rebalanced.

His van was an ex-cop car and now has almost 200k on it and he has had no troubles with it.

That's the sort of thing that needs to be taken into consideration. You can have a fully pimped out beast with 22',s but the ride would be stiff and very uncomfortable, as well as costs a lot more. 18 or 19 inch wheels for me, is a compromise of lower profile than 16's giving better handling, but not as extreme as 20's or 22's which would be problematic with ride comfort and wheel maintenance. I do about 30000km's a year, so I want a wheel and tyre that looks good, handles well and is comfortable...and 18, maybe 19 is around the mark. Still looking
