Your dear caddy can be very rusted in the suspension top within 1 year.

    Hi all caddy's owner,

I have got my caddy last year, Just 12 months ago. I noticed it has rusted in the suspension top cave bothside after 6 months and now just getting worse. every time rain or you wash your car, the water will get in the the cave and damage your dear caddy. I do love my caddy very much. Just do not understand how that could be happened. I found someone has same problem and they noticed 3 years later (sorry, it has out of warranty). It cost $1,500 to fix.

    Rusted suspension top 3.5 years

Rusted suspension 1 year, yes 12 months only

I get a lot of caddies in my workshop, never found the top mount rusty on them.
Mounts would cost less than $150 each I think, $1500 sounds very excessive to fix. Wouldnt mind that sort of margin.
Sad to see you had this problem.

Our Caddy is a 2006 model.
It too has rust but not as bad as in the picture.
It is difficult to get to.
I will try and get some rust converter in there.

    Haven't seen that before.

Previous model Golfs used to have the plastic covers on them. They'd probably fit the Caddy.
