what to look for

Getting everything to gether fr buying a second hand caddy.
But they're all interstate and how do I know whats good or bad via the internet car sales sites.

In Oct- Nov I'll be looking for a s/h white Caddy with DSG and prefer full side windows.
There does seem to be problems with air con and flywheels going out, apart from asking the obvious Q how can you tell and what else should I be looking for.

Anyone up for a spotters fee???

hello, you seem to have found them already
- check aircon blows cold air within a minute
- drive it and pay attention to the DSG - some cars have had their mechatronics replaced because they are jerky at slow speed, or uphill starts etc., and hard shifting.
- step on it and make sure you're not spewing out black smoke
- look for abnormal noise from the wheel bearings
