Can you post up an image or two of the broken pipes?
I'll be able to figure out part numbers from there for you.
Hello
I have a 06 Caddy 1.6 petrol 5 speed and a long steep, usually corrugated gravel driveway and hence some problems that I hope someone might be able to help me with.
The vehicle's idle started constantly alternating between about 4 and 15 thou rpm which took me under the bonnet to find the whole intake manifold having a fair bit of movement and sucking in air through a very short, broken rubber adapter/hose that is situated between the oil filler and what I assume to be the throttle body, at a guess I would say it is a rocker cover vent.
My first problem is that I can not find a replacement adapter/hose on the net and have no Idea what it is actually called which doesn't help.
My second problem is that I don't know how the intake manifold is secured, at present it seems to be loosely holding on by 2 or 4 screws (cant remember which) on the front along with the various tubes and wiring etc. I can see the afor-mentioned rubber tube supporting it to some degree but would have thought there might be something unseen at the back/underneath that might have fallen off or be broken.
Any help would be massively appreciated.
