was it easy to replace? just unplug the old and plug the new one in or is it more involved than that ?

no it's not plug and play, it took me about 2.5 hours... I chose to power them via a relay driven by the stock horn.
So I have 3 horns now

train horns... they're nice (i work in the railway industry) but you need compressed air to do it.
The Hella horns are much louder than the stock one - but I left it in there so I didn't have to weather proof the plug
