Haha, we all had our hands full, no biggy.

Awesome. Thanks for the offer. It's been a LONG time since i've driven a Mk1 any further than up the block and back...

I won't drive it fast enough to bend it, Tim. i'd never forgive myself.

Put the TDI chip in the Caddy today. Pretty simply install. Plug it into the wiring loom on the injector cam resolver, hook it to the battery, ground it and mount the module.

I mounted the module to the top of the fuse box using sticky backed velcro (Hook&loop). Looks very neat i think, and looks like it's meant to be there.

I have noticed a difference in performance. The power is more progressive and it definately has more torque. 1st gear seems somewhat unchanged (although it is hard to tell), apart from the fact that it does not have the big power surge when it comes on boost, it is more progressive, which is nice. 2nd gear acceleration is much improved. The acceleration in 3rd, 4th and 5th is far better.

So all in all.. I'm very happy.. And for 200 bucks, how could i not be!

Sounds to me like you got a bargain! It's not often you can get such noticable gains from $200!

Money well spent by the sounds of it.

Finally got around to priming the rear dampers properly this afternoon. It didn't make any difference. It's still noisy, sounds like the damper valves are fluttering on the compression and rebound.

I'll have to talk to Dragan again on monday. I don't see it as much of a problem, as last time he said if there's an issue, just send them back and he'll replace them no problems.

On a much happier note, i pulled the rear mud flaps off yesterday. I got sick of them dragging going up steep driveways. This made the back look like it was sitting a little high, so while i had it on the hoist, i dropped the bum back down to the lowest position. I'm much happier with the stance now. I think it looked a little too high in the back before, even with the mudflaps still on it.

I'm also interested to see how the fuel economy goes on the trip to sydney this sunday, with the new chip i've installed. I'm undecided at the moment, but around town it seems atleast as good, if not a little better. I've also noticed that it seems to have more go when it's dead cold in the morning.
