You may have researched it by now however the Caddy DSG gearbox is in most simplistic terms still operated by the driver like a regular automatic gearbox in that you select D and just take off. The difference is in the internals between these types of "auto" gearboxes and they don't require any major difference in driving styles. A DSG box offers better fuel economy over traditional auto's because of the more efficient internal setup and can make gear changes faster then the best drivers using a manual gearbox. The big difference I noticed betwen the T5 auto and the Caddy DSG was the slight hesitation on take off and it's been mentioned also in recent Golf roadtests using a similar gearbox. It's not a major problem and you become adjusted to it, or i did at least after a few hours.
