I didn't end up getting the injectors checked really wish I did after I get a compression check done next thing to do

I do remember some family telling me the car smelled of petrol after shutting it off and restarting it
Possible having a injector stuck open with out codes relating to it?

Ideal oppertunity to do a rebuild. MK6 GTI internals (rods and pistons) will fit, and easily available from ECS Tuning in OEM or upgraded components.

This is what I will eventually do to my TSI300 (sorry TSI480)

Lots of choices (and not the only supplier for these parts)

Rods - I would go forged and not simply a replacement
    403 Forbidden

Pistons - again go forged and make it Stg 3 proof

The above should all be perfectly doable in the TSI, but bear in mind that not everything is interchangeable. I recently discovered that the sumps (including all internals such as baffles and oil pickup) are not the same between the Mk6 GTI and the TSI300 Amarok. The TSI300 is much larger to almost 1.5ls of extra oil capacity.

A 2nd hand TSI300 engine (with its own history and possible problems), will probably set you back $2-3K. You can get quality parts for less than that and then its just labour costs (free if you have skills and time).
