Well ........ Discovered this week that the TSI Amarok, rated by VW at 118kw, actually makes more power on a dyno than the 132kw BiTDI ......

125kw (118TSI) > 121kw (132TDI) > 110kw (120TDI) at the hubs on a DynaPack dyno ......

Obviously drivetrain losses may be slightly different but the actual power getting to road certainly explains why the 118 TSI has been tested over 1s quicker to 100km/h than the 132TDI

Interesting.
Hope that means the development of a tune for these will see big results.

Power curve of the TSI Amarok stock is very similar to the 125/132TSI Tiguans ..... only with more torque

TSI Amarok has great potential.

Because its mounted longitudinally in a big engine bay it has an extremely well flowing intake / exhaust / intercooler standard, its potential power will be far greater than when its mounted sideways in an engine bay on a Golf or Tiguan!

Finally wired up the front fogs to the VW OEM switch today ....

Went from this:

And it works!

Took me 2 days all up combined with the fog light wiring, but finished the RVC install

Very happy with the result .... cost $99 including shipping !



The RVC comes with all wiring, coding instructions and a plug that fits straight into the RNS510.

Not a fan unless the red exclamation mark could replace the I in TSI.
