    Rear brakes

Can someone give me an idea of when the rear brake shoes need replacing on my 2L Amorak Auto highline. I have done 150,000km, so starting to think they may be getting low. No off-road use however and not a lot of heavy breaking. Front pads changed at 70k and still OK at 150k with bendix pads.

Brake wear is totally by driving habits / environment. The only way to tell if they need replacing is visual inspection at every service.

Personally I'd be taking the drums off every 45,000km and having a good look at the overall friction material thickness and the wheel cylinders. The inspection port only shows about 5% of the total friction material area.
