connector pics.
The blue and green connectors are for something else. Do not attempt to connect to these.
The correct connectors are to the left of the steering column in right hand drives and are red and black.

CANbus trailer controller installation guide, M21, V6 Manual Amarok. New Kidz Install
Starting with the steering wheel lever, set the lever to the lowest position.
Grab steering wheel and pull down
like so...
Grab hold of the panel behind steering column and pull down. Start with passenger side.
Like this.
Now, if you have sausage fingers, this step is more difficult. Release driver's side of the same panel behind steering column.
Remove the panel. It's just held on with open hinges.
Side view of manual installation with brake and clutch. You now have a clear run to the wiring loom.
The wires you're looking for are to the left of the steering column. In an Amarok M21 manual, they are tied up in close proximity to the clutch switch (blue).
There's white plastic electrical tape over the wiring loom sockets.
Undo the white electrical tape and..
start pulling out the inline wiring loom sockets. There's one black and one red socket.
Out comes the red.
You now have both inline sockets released from the loom.
Pop the bonnet.
10mm spanner required to undo battery negative.

CANbus trailer controller installation for M21 Manual V6 Amarok, New Kidz Install II
Undo battery negative
You are now ready to plug in trailer controller unit.
Click and connect the trailer controller to the wiring loom sockets under the 'dash. The plugs and sockets are different configurations
so that you can't mix them up.
Just click & connect!
Reconnect battery
Close bonnet.
With battery connected and ignition on, you should have a solid green on the Jaegar if no trailer connected. System status is 'ready'.
Ziplock the contoller unit so that if you remove the cover panel, you can see the LED status.
In a manual, the clutch sensor switch makes a good mounting bracket for the ziplock. Securely mount the controller so
that you can still see the controller status light when you remove the steering column cover panel.
Snap cover back into place
Raise steering wheel and lock.
you're done!!

Your module looks much like the one towbars australia supply with their kit. All my lighting works fine, including LEDs on trailers, but there doesnt seem to be any indication the car knows a trailer is hitched. mine doesnt disable the rear park sensors for example, nor does it show anything like trailer sway control (Does this car have it??) like my disco had.. I did have an issue on installation, and that was the female pins in one of the plugs werent "tight" enough, they sent me a new module and i returned the one that was not working correctly.. great support from them (towbars australia)

The Jaegar unit pictured has 4 LED mode readout, similar to VL's when they first came out.
Solid green is trailer ready, green blinking is trailer connected and good to go, red and red blinking are error levels. Don't know what they are, haven't had 'em yet. That's why I suggest installing these units so that you can read the LED's without getting out of the car to diagnose problems.
Reverse park sensors and rear fog light (where fitted) disabled when trailer connect.
Top gear is also locked out (autos) when towing. Good thing I bought a manual. My camper trailer is ~1,000 kgs, box trailer about 160, and the tinny trailer is ~70 kgs.
Not sure about trailer sway. My understanding is that this info is passed through to the ECU and comes up on the display. My trailer is a lightweight and doesn't have a gyro so don't quote me on this. I'm just trusting in off road trailer suspension and shockies.
Trailer controller, wiring adapter, 7 pin flat, connector harness and the towball & gooseneck was under $500 online.
