118k klms is nothing for a well looked after 2 litre Amarok. Try to get some idea of where those klms where done though. If it’s lots of highway or country road driving then you’re laughing. If it’s all been within a 2 km radius with the engine cold at the start of each trip then not so good. Diesels don’t like short trips in town, especially with a DPF.
Also try to gauge if it’s been filled to the brim each time or left running on a quarter tank with a fiver chucked in here and there. DPF won’t do a burn if the fuel level is too low.
In short, go for the Ultimate. Our local VW dealership has a few 400,000 km Amaroks on their service books with no issues.
