    Amarok V6 Check Engine Issues

I have a V6 Amarok with a recurring but intermittent check engine light.

I have scanned the error codes and get two different codes depending on which tool I use.

Using OBD11 I get an error code 0538 and under voltage issues with various exhaust gas temp sensors etc as well as a Central Electronics error of open circuit.

Using Carly I get an 021A message which seems to indicate an injector issue (but is probably triggered by the under voltage errors as per OBD11 above).

I have checked every fuse that I think may be at fault and found nothing. Checked the battery and charging rate and all seems fine in that area. I'm not sure where else to start looking.

Has anyone else had this issue and if so, what is the cause.

Thanks in advance if anyone can offer suggestions or solutions.

    Darryl

If you can upload the error log from OBD11, it will help pinpoint the issue.

Use the app's email function, to send it to yourself, then you can upload it here.

00538 - Reference Voltage : Signal too small, is a general error that could be triggered on many modules.

Thread moved to Amarok section. Sounds like you have a failed NOX sensor. Not entirely uncommon. Genuine VW NoX Sensor for Volkswagen Amarok 3.0 TDI Engines
