    Amarok Overnight

Had the Amarok Overnight last night as a tester thanks to Lynton, Jarrod and Sam from Solitaire Commercial.

First driving.... stalled at the exit of the dealers lot as the clutch is light but after that no stalling from me
Size its massive on the road I got the beginning of Peak Hour Traffic in Adelaide, as I went up NE Road I was petrified of running into someone or the lane becoming to narrow. Fourth gear was the main gear I was in only shifting up into fifth occiasionally.

After a while I got use to it and made it to Wedel.1's place to show him, we all agreed its a massive vehicle and that the design is just right. From memory Fuel Consumption was low around 8.5-8.7 fro the trip from Prospect to Modbury.

Headed home after a short while at Wedel.1's and noticed that the ride is nice but suspension gets unsettled and rattly over uneven surfaces but doe not lose composure just noisy - I think have something in the back would solve this.
Got home and past my uncle he did a U-turn and had a look - loved the technology but said its to nice for him.

Overall my main dislikes are the size in the city and interior is a bit touch and go in some places but it is a work truck.
Love the strength of the engine and the overall feel after you get use to it, the 'go anywhere factor feeling'.

    Feel free to ask questions.

Nice. Yes it is bigger than the average ute, but you would get quickly used to it. I remember roadtesting the Touareg for the first time, it seemed big only until the first corner. It is my daughter daily ride, she loves it.

Ben, are you going to order one?

I agree with your uncle Ben, its a good looking ute, but way too nice to be a workhorse I'm afraid. Also have some concerns about those large and exposed tail lights .... those are too expensive looking to be putting so close to harm IMO.

As much as I like it and would love to get a 2.0TSI Amarok and make it go really well, it would not suit my needs.... be too sorry for it to use it the way I need to use it.
