Amarok with fog light switch but no fog lights installed

My 2020 Amarok has no fog lights installed. But it has the fog light selector on the light switch, and the fog light symbol on the dash lights up when it’s selected. Does this mean I may have the loom installed for a quick retro fit?

Alas, no .... the switch activates the rear foglight. No wiring exists for the front I'm afraid.

It is easy enough, however to fit front fog lights and wire it up.

You will need:
1) (and I'm assuming you have auto headlights) Car Auto Headlight Head Light Switch & Sensor For VW Golf 5 6 MK6 MK5 5ND941431B 883331013877 | eBay just check the plug on the back is the same shape as the stock Amarok switch.
2) Full Set Fog Light Spot Driving Lamp KIT For Volkswagen Amarok 2H Ser 2 16~On | eBay

Instead of wiring to the switch provided in the kit, wire to the open pin on the headlight switch for a proper OEM look.

Its a few years ago now, but it only took me about an hour to fit this on my Amarok. Some of the other mods were far harder and far more time consuming LOL.
