3.0L V6 TDI Oil Filter specifications

Does anyone know the micron rating & efficiency of the OEM Oil filter in the V6 3.0L TDI engine?

Do you use a particular aftermarket oil filter? Reason?

Which alternative oil to use? spec 507.00?

I use Hengst, Mahle, Mann filters at work. Same spec as VW. No idea how fine they filter. I am always reluctant to use any other filters on VWs.

Thanks for the info. Is the majority of engine oil used 0W-30 507.00 spec?

I'm sure you'll find it is 5w30. I get the part number from partslink and search Google or an oil manufacturers website
