when you would never dream of selling it and your plans just keep getting bigger!

You know that you drive a MkI when every second nut is seized solid (if its been sitting under a tree for 2 years )
You know that you drive a MkI when you stare up under the dash and wonder what those loose wires might once have been connected to...

Or when you can see pin holes of rust & wonder why your feet get wet.

What about when you race change second & your passenger's are the only one's concernced about the crunching noise.

Or when you fill up & you get that fuel smell in the interior for 100k's.

How about when you put your foot on the clutch & the pedal goe's to the floor. Your the only one who know's that the firewall needs to be repaired cause the cable has pulled right through & split the metal.

When you've got warm up the wiper's for them to reach operating speed. (Probably been said before)
    Love it.

When you squeeze the door handle harder and harder to get in and no-one else can master the art.

when the spares in the garage nearly, if put together, would be another golf.
when you shake your head at Porsche Boxter drivers because you just know that you car is faster and handles better............but costs nearly 100 times less.
when you park it next to a modern "small" car and it gets dwarfed
when no one but you and the people who already own them get why you love them so much

You know that you drive a MkI k-jet when, having that engine, it could sit there for months, and the first crank will fire up

You know that you drive a MkI when you flash the rabbit on your ass and other people go WTF????

    Yeh that was pretty cool.

From memory I think I nailed pretty good. On half bald tyres too & torque steered through second.

I still like the cruise around near Kew. Second gear, Yeh. Yeh

I don't know going harder or about handling better than a boxster though.
The very first boxsters handle bloody awesome. My bro brought a brand new one home when he worked for Porsche & I tell you what, the handling performance would scare alot of people.
