    It might have something to with air pressure inside the car, as I have no probs when there is a window open. VWs are meant to be air-tight but I doubt it's 100% given its age.

    when your throttle cable snaps and you have to jam a beer bottle between the carb lever and idle screw holding the eng and 4 g to get home
    made for some interesting looks at lights while pedestrian walk on by

    once i limped to Repco i bought these and No they didn't have a cable.......can someone tell me if this is a standard cable? and where to purchase one i live 1.5 hours from Syd
